Challenge
Second Course is sending alerts and deals for free food via text. They want an app that allows their users to browse events and deals so they can provide easier access to food resources.
Approach
Second Course wanted their users to be able to take advantage of a variety of features. I created wireframes to determine an initial layout for these features.
One of the features lets users browse upcoming events on their campus that provide free food. After conducting testing, I determined the best approach for this would be a scrollable feed where users could select and learn more about an upcoming event.
I had a similar approach for the deals feature, which allows users to find deals on food from local restaurants. The “deals” page additionally includes filters for more specified browsing.

Results
This project with Second Course has taught me the value in exploring various ways to organize an app and its features. Working on Second Course has also improved my ability in applying branding to an interface, especially to the onboarding process.
